The electro-acoustic duo of German saxophonist Jon Sensmeier and Belgian guitarist Machiel Heremans crafts an immersive sonic world where improvisation meets cinematic storytelling. The duo first crossed paths during their studies, quickly discovering a shared passion for exploratory music-making. By 2018, they had already released two EPs, marking the beginning of their collaboration. As their sound evolved, they embarked on the recording of their highly anticipated debut album, "Some Ideas Arrive in the Form of a Dream," in Denmark. The album, a testament to their deep musical connection and adventurous spirit, was released in February 2024 under Copenhagen-based CRRNT Records. With a distinctive approach that blurs the lines between composition and improvisation, Sensmeier and Heremans continue to push boundaries, offering listeners a rich and evocative listening experience.
