Sarcastic Fringehead was born out of a shared interest among the four band members in improvisation, sound, texture, and transformation. The quartet moves between various musical territories such as jazz, improvisation, rock, drone, and more. It's difficult to summarize in a single term—eclectic, unconventional, and boundary-pushing. Raw, growling textures give way to more immersive sounds, eventually landing in a still life via bowed guitar and bass, with cymbals ominously ringing and harmony distorting until only repetition remains. .
