WEDNESDAY SET | MARTA FRIGO DIEGO ALBINI DUO

Born from the musical encounter between Marta Frigo (vocals) and Diego Albini (piano/synth) this duo project is characterized by an introspective, impressionistic and intimate sound. The two musicians propose original compositions where voice and piano interact on an equal footing with a focus on the construction of soundscapes, painted through free improvisation and the use of electronics (synth, loop station, fx) that contrast with written sections. The musical influences and inspirations are wide, from modern European jazz artists such as Sidsel Endresen, Norma Winstone and John Taylor, passing through other genres such as ambient and minimalism, and composers such as Steve Reich, Philip Glass and Björk.
